SmartWatch the w88 we're gonna be giving you details of our very first competition and of course details of our brand-new segment of the show shout out YouTube welcome back to MMB tech TV my name is Ryan and if you want to keep up to date with all things tech all you need to do is make sure you subscribe and hit the bell to keep up to date now today we are going to be reviewing the budget smart watch this the w88 now perhaps you want to try a smart watch for the first time or maybe you want to buy one for the kids but not spend too much then this is perfect we're gonna go into our ins and outs of it and let you know what we think of it now M&B tech we always want to know what opinions we always want to know comments and this is where you get involved if you already have the w88 write your comments in the box below let us know what you think why not give us your you know give us your pros and cons and welcome them into the community and let's have a chat about it as families and let us know what you think of it now I bought this one for 13 pounds from Amazon and what I'll do is I'll put a link in the description below for you to go and check out whenever you want but for 13 pounds that my opinion is actually not too bad for what it does so let's have a little closer look so inside the box you get all the normal items that you would expect from a standard Chinese SmartWatch you get the manual and the USB charger but the watch itself has a really good strong wristband similar to the Apple watch and if you've seen the Apple watch in terms of design layout and things like it doesn't feel cheap and is actually quite comfortable to wear as well which is a which is great for something of this this price range now looking at the screen we have a 240 by 240 pixel screen so it's a good nice sized screen small and not too big on the wrists either looking at the side you've got your menu buttons and back buttons it kind of does everything really USB slot just there looking at the front you've got your front facing camera if you can see underneath the like that and then if we turn it over as you can see the thewrist band is kind of secured in within the unit see there's no chance of it changing any of them if you're looking at possibly kind of looking at changing out any of them is stuck in and so looking at there we've got your you know I'm a battery and then inside just in that is them when you can put your SD card for external memory and the SIM card as well so then if you can then it can come bit become a standalone units then you can make calls and do texts and things that aren't directly from the unit itself so let's get the battery back in and let's power on the unit and see what it's like let's go through the menu buttons and everything so let's have a little look so there we go so main screen there you can see the you only get one standard kind of clock face on there you're unable to change them at the moment you've got your quick access to making your phone calls there and then quick access to your phonebook now with this you can either put your SIM card in it as I said before and it becomes a self running kind of like a mobile phone on you on your wrist really or you can pair it up by bluetooth to your iOS or Android device and what I'll do is I'll put a link in the description for the app that you'll use in aid for them to work so I'll put that in there later and so going for the menu if it works going for the menu there we are so they're kind of they're going for the round I'm gonna have option se which standard clock in the middle just like anything you should have your Bluetooth options there where you can turn it on and off you can choose whether you want it to be a visible device so if anyone tried searching for a search for any devices and then you can change the device name if you wanted to change it to my watch or anything like that standard calculator just does what it needs to do music now you can put music through this now I believe you can but you can do it through Bluetooth and once you've connected it to phone and but then also if you've got your SD card you can put music on the inside of there as well and it can play directly from there you've got your voice recorder but again that needs storage enable you to be able to record anything contacts you can add your contacts directly onto this or it'll take it via bluetooth once you've connected it up to the app you call history and call settings pretty standard and then you can make calls as I said before directly from here and he'll either do it through the SIM card you've got installed or it will do for the Bluetooth device.


   




That's not just your main one you have got three: 

others to choose from so from here like I said it does have a front-facing camera there's me there's me now you with this camera is a non point three megapixel camera so you're not taking any amazing shots without spells you got a sedimentary reminder so a lot of smart will she's tend to have them now just to remind you to get up and move about and things now a lot of these devices a lot of these things installed on here won't work properly until it's all linked and married up but that's to search for your device if you've lost it you've got your search option again so if you're looking for your phone and your mobile phone so you can here it's somewhere to try and find it which is good sometimes if you lose your mobile around the house here you've got your shutter which is will help you then if your it'll help you to take a picture from here to your smartphone so perhaps you can set you can grow up somewhere and use that to take a picture with it here is where once it's all connected up and happy memory card installed it's like well what you have on smartphones nowadays where you can keep all your body cards tickets all that kind of thing on there you've got your setting so as you're going you can change one or two of the profiles not many but like a general silent that kind of thing you can go into the phone settings change the date/time language display motion which is if it you can turn you rest a couple of times to perhaps ignore a call or to mute it flight modes in there all the normal elements that you'd expect security settings if you wanted to change the phone lock on it change pass keys anything like that you can activity call settings and then of course master resets and then finally again it needs a memory cap but you can store images and things like that on there as well at the top you can go and have a view into your messages that you'll receive either directly from your SIM card or via Bluetooth standard I should have got your alarms on there now once you get sim cards installed you can access your Twitter and whatsapp and your Facebook directly from here but then you've got your stopwatch and this is your QR code for the software so now you can either if you have the QR scanner and your phone you can either scan that now or like I said I'll put a link in the description below for you to go and check out later and then of course you've got monitoring times and all that kind of stuff which is cool features the little nifty and then finally right at the back they've installed Google Chrome on there as well but that only works once you have the or once you have the sim card installed so for a small cheap SmartWatch you 



Need really and more so if you:


did want anything else or you wanted more things from the unit itself and then you would have to kind of go up market for it but oh no not a bad little watch so the verdict all in all in my opinion not a bad watch for what it does 13 pounds and it has all the little things that you would kind of expect from a cheap SmartWatch and other things that you would need for it to do so let's go into the pros and cons of it our first Pro is the cost 13 pounds not bad from what it actually does the second is receiving you notifications you get all your notifications on there from from Facebook snapchat Twitter you get them all displayed on there and third and finally the fact that you can receive calls and receive all your taxes and send taxes and make calls from the device itself now the two cons that we only found with it was the first one is you have a bit of restricted content what I mean by restricted content is is that you will get a notification from Facebook and say oh you've now got a facebook notification but it doesn't actually go into depth about what the notification is you still have to pull out your device have a look into it and to see what the notification is but the more expensive ones you buy they do go into more detail about it so for a cheap watch you still get notified about what's coming through in your smartphone and then finally personalization you can't personalize the the watch to you so you can't change the watch face you can't seems a menu layout it's very static and it's stuck and so but I keep going back to it but for 13 pounds what do you expect all in all still a great watch so I'm gonna give this an MMB rating of and eight out of ten so not bad so if you do want to take a look at it you perhaps want to buy and try one I'll put a link in the description below for you to go and check it out now it's time for a new section of the show which is called this is your chance for you to get your stuff live on our show so perhaps you're a fellow youtuber and you want to have your opinion heard or you want to promote your own channel or perhaps you just want to say hi it's as simple as that all you need to do is get your comments in the box below and you could be featuring in our next video so get your comments in there now just like anyone I love a good competition and I'm sure you do too and at MMB Tech we want to give away one of our very own w88 smart watches now if you want to be in with a chance to win all you need to do is first of all like the video subscribe and hit the bell to get all our notifications and finally in the comments box just put winner I want to be a winner or competition
